The National Botanic Gardens project to restore the 18th century landscape at their centre near Carmarthen included the reconstruction of a earthwork dam. This works is nearing completion thanks to the ground investigation and design work undertaken by GOWN Engineers.
GOWN designed the ground investigation to enable the design of the dam then undertook the design of the dam in terms of its permeability and stability. We went on to provide construction advice for the earthworks.
See the project details here https://botanicgarden.wales/regency-restoration/.
The gardens are a great place to visit, we hope you enjoy seeing the newly restored lakes in 2019.
